the first entry! woo hoo!

A good friend of mine spent a year teaching in South Korea and I envied her sense of adventure every time I heard of her travels...
So this past summer I decided to "woman-up" and look into it for myself...
fast-forward a few months and I'm signing a one year contract to teach english at a private school in Gwang-ju City, South Korea!!

Date of Departure:

(first day of teaching: Jan 2, 2013?)

(potential) Date of Arrival Home:
Jan 1, 2014

I just want to say a huge THANK YOU to all of my friends & family that have encouraged me to take this leap of faith.  I am confident I wont regret it.
(and an extra big thanks to Allie Carfarchio, my greatest resource and support through this process)

I will update this blog pretty regularly once I leave for the trip, (mostly for my own sanity and documentation purposes) but also for your viewing pleasure ;)
I welcome all of you to vicariously join me on my adventures by reading my stories, looking at my pictures, and watching my videos as they are posted.
