Jeff's birthday was on Friday

"Hey Jeff! Did you get any birthday presents?"
-"Yes!"
"What did you get?"
-"books and FOUR hot packs!"
"cool!?" (genuinely unsure if those are considered good gifts to a 10 year old Korean boy)

aka disposable bags of warm substances.

Jeff seemed genuinely pleased, 

so I'm feeling good about not ordering him anything special 

(i forgot) 

and instead, 

i gave him a packet of microwave popcorn.
