Depart-ation

For those of you who are not aware...
I always avoid traveling alone by allowing a small plastic shark named "Ollie" to tag along on my adventures.
Oddly, his Visa arrived before mine... I suppose S. Korea doesn't think he'll be much of a threat to society... little do they know.

To my family's dismay, my departure date has been moved up several times... so based on my (hopefully final) itinerary below, I will be staying awake all of Christmas night & getting to the Philly airport around 4am to ensure plenty of time to board my first flight at 6:16AM!

Should make for a bittersweet holiday, but we're remaining thankful that I'm not required to leave before Christmas!

Once I land in Seoul, the director of my school will guide me to my new home. (at the other end of the country)
With the time differences, I'm estimating I'll be en route to Gwangju for 30+ hours.
PS. (there is a time difference of 13 hours in S. Korea from Eastern Standard Time)

Then my childhood best friend, Allie, plans to come to "my city" around Dec. 30th to help me get settled and to bring in the New Year with me in Gwangju!!!
This will easily be my most exciting new year's yet.
^ Allie @ Halloween...
You can expect me to come home looking like this next year.

  1. he was only smiling in that picture because he loves doritos... normally he's a terror... But he laughs at most of my jokes and scares away creepy strangers, so i keep him around.
